for Research & Technology Development (“FP7”), has the pleasure to announce a structured series of workshops on applying human factors and the principles of social networking to airport security. The workshops will discuss the basic findings of BEMOSA, their implications on daily airport management and training programs to enhance security decisions by airport employees.
The BEMOSA Consortium would like to invite all relevant stakeholders in order present our results to-date and in particular to present the principles of social networking applied to airport security. Stakeholders will include airport management officials responsible for security, human resources and operations; providers of airport security services; providers of airport security training services as well as public officials & policy makers.
The following workshops are planned:
· Workshop 1: Basic Findings (Monday, March 19, 2012)
· Workshop 2: Managerial Implications (Tuesday, May 15, 2012)
· Workshop 3: Training for Security Decisions (Tuesday, July 10, 2012)
· Concluding Conference (Tuesday, November 27 & Wednesday, November 28, 2012)
Each workshop will be set up as an independent workshop, but it will also serve as the basis for the next workshop. The workshop will be given by the BEMOSA Core Research Team as to show the impact from different perspectives and using different tools that are available.
The workshops will be held in the offices of DG Research of the European Commission in Rue du Champs de Mars 21 in Brussels. Registration is obligatory, but free of charge. The workshops will take place for about half-a-day, but lunch and networking opportunities will be provided.
